“415 horsepower high-performance SUV” GV80 Coupe Electric Supercharger launch imminent
The launch of the 3.5-liter gasoline 48V electric supercharged model, a high-performance model of the Genesis GV80 Coupe, is imminent. The GV80 Coupe was first released in a 2.5-liter gasoline turbo model and a 3.5-liter gasoline turbo model last month, and according to industry news, a 3.5-liter gasoline 48V electric supercharger model will be released in January next year.
The newly added 3.5-liter gasoline 48V electric supercharger model is the top of the GV80 Coupe lineup. Based on a 3.5-liter gasoline turbo engine, the engine is equipped with a 48V electric supercharger to increase initial response and output. It has a maximum output of 415 horsepower and a maximum torque of 56kg.m.
Compared to the regular 3.5-liter gasoline turbo model, the maximum output is 35 horsepower and the maximum torque is 2 kg.m higher. It has the most powerful output among the domestic internal combustion engine lineup. Certified fuel economy has not yet been disclosed.
The Genesis GV80 Coupe features enhanced basic specifications compared to the general SUV model. Specialized specifications such as coupe-specific suspension, active sound design, electronic limited-slip differential (e-LSD), AWD, and 20-inch wheels are applied as standard, and 22-inch wheels are also installed as coupe-specific wheels.
The interior has a similar layout to the SUV model, including a 27-inch wide OLED display. In addition, the exclusive D-cut steering wheel and exclusive interior color are used to create a sporty feel unique to the GV80 Coupe.
Here, the gasoline 3.5 turbo 48V electric supercharger engine has many differentiating points. It is equipped with high-performance specialized specifications such as front wheel red painted monoblock (4P) brakes, rear wheel styling cover, dual twin tip muffler, sports+ mode, and dark chrome garnish.
Meanwhile, the basic model price of the Genesis GV80 Coupe starts at 82.55 million won, the option price for the gasoline 3.5 turbo engine is 4.2 million won, and the option price for the gasoline 3.5 turbo 48V electric supercharger engine is 9.35 million won.
