Mercedes GLE 400e 4MATIC launched, “Price is 132 million won”
Mercedes-Benz Korea officially launched ‘The New Mercedes-Benz GLE 400 e 4MATIC Coupe,’ a plug-in hybrid model of the GLE Coupe, in Korea. The GLE 400e Coupe is equipped with a 4-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor with a maximum output of 100kW, providing an electric driving range of up to 67km according to domestic certification.
The New GLE 400e 4MATIC Coupe is a luxury plug-in hybrid SUV coupe that applies Mercedes-Benz's 4th generation plug-in hybrid technology to the 4th generation partially modified The New GLE Coupe, which has been highly popular since its domestic launch in August.
The exterior of the Mercedes-Benz GLE 400e 4MATIC Coupe features AMG line design elements such as a Mercedes-Benz pattern diamond grille, an AMG front apron neatly finished with chrome trim, and a diffuser-shaped AMG rear apron with black inserts.
The interior is equipped with the latest multi-function sports steering wheel applied to the entire New GLE lineup. In addition, the central and side air vents were also finished in a chrome format, inheriting elements of the interior of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, from the black border of the previous model, creating a more luxurious atmosphere.
The powertrain combines a gasoline engine with a maximum output of 252 horsepower and a maximum torque of 40.8 kg·m and a new electric motor with a maximum output of 100kW (about 136 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 440 Nm (44.9kg·m). This, combined with a 9-speed automatic transmission, demonstrates excellent efficiency. Additionally, it is equipped with a generous battery of 31.2 kWh and can drive up to 67km certified domestically on a single charge.
Safety specifications include the Driving Assistance Package Plus, the latest version of the driving assistance system that supports maintaining the distance from the vehicle in front, automatic speed control, braking and starting, lane detection, and stopped vehicle detection in a speed range of up to 100 km/h. It is installed as standard specifications.
In addition, a parking package that includes a transparent bonnet and a 360-degree camera, and an Airmatic package that intelligently adjusts the suspension according to road conditions, vehicle speed, and load are supported.
Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz Korea said that the price of the new GLE 400e 4MATIC Coupe is 132 million won and that the high-voltage lithium-ion battery can be used for up to 8 years/160,000 km (up to 8 years/160,000 km) so that plug-in hybrid customers can operate their vehicles more conveniently.
