“Cooler than the GV80” Preview of the new GV70 sports interior
The predicted interior of the new Genesis GV70 Sports model has emerged and is becoming a hot topic. The GV70 is a mid-sized SUV from the Genesis brand and is characterized by being operated separately as a standard model and a ‘Sports Package’ model, a high-performance design package model.
The interior of the new GV70 Sports, which was unveiled, features Genesis' latest design based on the layout of the existing GV70. The most notable part is the 27-inch wide OLED display. It is equipped with Genesis' latest ccIC system and supports various functions such as wireless software update and wireless phone projection.
The steering wheel uses the 3-spoke type D-cut steering wheel from the previously released GV80 Coupe. Compared to the standard model, a sporty sensibility has been added, and the oval layout of the air conditioner is the same as the existing model. Additionally, a crystal pattern is added to the jog dial and dial shifter in the center console.
The exterior design of the new Genesis GV70 is revised to increase the details of the existing design. The headlamp is changed to the MLA type, and in the case of the sports package model, a crest grill with a double-layered G matrix pattern that emphasizes a three-dimensional effect is applied.
At the rear, the muffler tip design will be changed along with the bumper design, and the existing turn signal lamp at the bottom of the bumper will be changed to a two-line lamp in line with the tail lamp. In addition, it is reported that the sports package model will be equipped with a dual muffler, and the standard model will be changed to a hidden type.
The powertrain of the new GV70 is based on a 2.5-liter gasoline turbo, with a 3.5-liter gasoline turbo engine as an option. The current 2.2-liter diesel engine is likely to be discontinued due to recently strengthened environmental regulations and declining preference for diesel.
Meanwhile, the Genesis GV70 facelift model is scheduled to be released as early as the first half of next year, and the price is expected to increase along with enhanced basic specifications.
